Yarn Along – April 11

from small things

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr.

Finally I can participate this week! I have borrowed Science Ink from the library – I have often thought of getting a tattoo, but have yet to actually do it. There are several ideas in my head for what I want, but I keep coming back to the same idea and I think I have settled on what, now it is just a matter of where (and what color?!) With my science background and love of the topic I have often considered a science tattoo, and most of the ones shown in this book are striking. The summer issue of knitscene arrived in my mailbox this week. I also picked up (again) First Meals as Nate has taken to eating solid foods like a champ.

The green is the “Summer Poncho” that is on the cover of the recent Vogue Knitting – now that I am in the groove I feel like I am making good progress. I expect to be splitting the neck within days.

Things have been quiet round the blog, but I’m still here. There just hasn’t been much to share lately, though I am expecting some fun mail in the next week or so.

How about a cute baby bunny picture?

  1. Sometimes that happens – you have lots to share or little – life. What a cute bunny you have there! A good reason to see why you're so busy. The knitting looks nice – hope you keep your steam.
